Resources for Parent Support
Dr. Shea, Personal Counsellor, is always available to meet with parents and students to discuss concerns (academic, social, emotional, medical). With new students, parents are encouraged to contact Dr. Shea if after the first week or two of the school year a student is having a difficult time settling into the school. Dr. Shea can meet with the student and discuss the range of co-curricular activities that are available on- and off-campus to find something that matches the student’s interests.
On the wall outside Dr. Shea’s office on the first floor of the high school there are brochures for various kinds of support for students, parents and families, such as FamilyLine. Parents can contact Dr. Shea at any time for a confidential referral to professionals and agencies in the community to meet their needs.
