Student Ambassadors
The high school Student Ambassadors help support new students arriving at ACS Cobham at the start of the school year and during the school year.
The Student Ambassadors join a closed Facebook group in August shortly before the start of the school year to introduce themselves to new students and respond to questions from them. They participate in the New Student Orientation sessions in the week before school starts in August to greet the new students and show them around the school with their schedules. Their role is to help the new students to find friends by introducing them to other students and helping them to find out about clubs and activities: Be a friend or help a new student to make friends.
During the school year, Student Ambassadors will greet and help support new students entering the school,as well as volunteering to provide shadow days for prospective students.
Student Ambassadors also:
* Assist with Parent Open House in September
• Plan and run two Kindness Weeks (November and February)
• Support the Grade 8 Orientation Day in May
• Plan and participate in other events during the school year that are student-led
